Illness

Only healthy children are accepted in my home.
This means children who can follow the daily routine in the care system.
A healthy child is a child who has been without fever for at least 24 hours after the illness has subsided.
Children who need to receive medication are accepted, but only when they are no longer contagious.

I would like to point out that you should not bring children who have been given painkillers on the same day.
This can be dangerous for the child if the child is injured.
If the child suffers from diarrhea, eye inflammation and has a big cold and a very running nose, he or she will be rejected for the day.

As a starting point, the recommendations of the Danish Health Authority are followed for all diseases.

1) In case of eye inflammation, the child MUST be kept at home (regardless of the nature and the opinion of own doctor) for at least 48 hours and as long as the child is undergoing treatment. This is primarily to guard against infection to the other children and to myself.
The child is NOT accepted if he or she has red/glossy eyes and puss in the eyes of any nature!
2) In case of diarrhea and vomiting, the child should be kept at home for at least 48 hours and can only return to the daycare when symptom-free.
3) In case of chickenpox, the child MUST be kept at home during an outbreak and during the whole process, meaning until the last crust has fallen off/dried in and there have been no new “outbreaks” for 2 days.
The child will not be received in the daycare until he or she is free of contamination and unaffected.
In the event of the above being noticed during the day, I contact the parents and the child should then be picked up immediately.
